Wild Island

Overview

After more than a decade, Wild Island was ready for a brand refresh, and they collaborated with KPS3 to make it happen. I was part of the team that crafted a new look and feel that reflects who Wild Island is now and helped bring it to life on their website.

My role

I started by writing the messaging guide for Wild Island’s brand, laying the foundation for everything on the website. The client loved having one “source of truth” for their brand voice — and it’s not every day I get to nerd out about messaging with a client!

From there, I spearheaded the website copywriting. I optimized based on our SEO strategy and created storytelling-driven, immersive content that lets people experience Wild Island through words before they even book their tickets.

At the heart of it

Wild Island has been a staple for Northern Nevada families for generations (heck, I grew up at the Waterpark and still hit the lanes at Coconut Bowl). It’s so cool to know the team is stoked on the work and that I had a hand in it.

Especially since I worked as a financial administrator for Wild Island when I was in college.

Knowing the heart and effort that goes into every experience at Wild Island, it was a joy to help reimagine the brand and translate that energy into a website that connects families, couples, friend groups, and event planners with the fun waiting for them.
