Overview

Nevada Humane Society wanted a brand and website that felt approachable, lively, and trustworthy. We set out to build a digital and verbal identity that wasn’t just user-friendly, but also positioned this organization as the leading voice for animal care and advocacy in Northern Nevada.

My role

At KPS3, I helped build the brand’s verbal foundation, crafting a voice that was playful, approachable, and full of heart. I also created a messaging guide to make it easy for staff to bring the brand to life, whether onboarding new hires or communicating with the community. From there, I led copywriting for the new website, making sure key pages felt warm and clear.

At the heart of it

Nevada Humane Society is a live-release organization working tirelessly to make sure every pet finds a loving home. Since completing this project, their team members have become true brand ambassadors, letting their brand’s verbal identity shine through in everything from new marketing materials to their social presence.

Helping Nevada Humane Society have a voice and brand as strong as their mission was both powerful and personal.

My family adopted our pittie mix, Midas, from Nevada Humane Society when he was just 10 weeks old (and smaller than our two cats!). Getting to shape the words behind a mission that gave us our best friend was pretty special.
